About this festival
ECHELON Festival 2026 takes place on 14 and 15 August at the former US barracks in Bad Aibling. The two-day open-air festival brings more than 100 artists to the expansive barracks site in the Bavarian Alpine foothills. Techno, EDM and other electronic styles shape the 2026 programme.
The Forbidden Grounds provide the setting for several festival areas and an extensive line-up. The site on Texasstraße combines industrial architecture with a summer outdoor format. ECHELON welcomes electronic music fans from Bavaria and beyond, with camping forming a dedicated part of the weekend. Bad Aibling is conveniently located between Munich and Rosenheim. The festival brings electronic club music together in a large-scale open-air setting.

Camping
ECHELON Festival 2026 is a camping-only festival, with its campsite directly next to the Echelon radomes. Guests can camp from Friday morning until Sunday afternoon. The campsite features a large barbecue area, high-quality sanitary facilities, a supermarket and drinks market, a marketplace with food stalls, and lockers with power connections. Comfort Camping is also available, with beds, fans, a chill-out area, sauna and reception. Caravan camping is available too.
Questions & answers
How do I get to the festival?
A regular shuttle service runs from Bad Aibling station to the festival site. Full details will be published in the “Travel” section of the website in good time before the festival.
Is parking available?
A parking fee applies and is not included in the ticket price, so guests travelling without a car do not contribute towards parking costs.
How old do I need to be to get in?
Friday and Saturday day tickets, as well as Full-Weekend tickets without camping, are available to those aged 16 or over, but only until midnight. The campsite has a minimum age of 18. No exceptions are made.
How do I pay on site?
The festival is entirely cashless. EC cards, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, V-Pay and Maestro are accepted. Visitors can also load cash onto a festival card on site.
What can I bring, and what is prohibited?
Only drawstring bags or rucksacks no larger than A4 size may be taken onto the festival site. Larger rucksacks must be left outside, as no storage facilities are available.
Is the site accessible?
People with a severe disability card showing a disability rating of at least 80 per cent receive free entry to the festival. If a companion is required, they are also admitted free of charge. The site has accessible facilities.
Can I leave the site during the festival?
In justified cases involving medical emergencies or particular medical conditions, the site may be left briefly. Speak to the security staff, who can make exceptions in such cases.
