DR DONK

Dr Donk is a German hard dance act who brings together Uptempo, Dubstep, Drum & Bass and deep Zaag sounds. His sets thrive on abrupt shifts in direction and a stage energy that turns every performance into its own treatment.

His musical journey began in Dubstep before Dr Donk increasingly moved towards Uptempo and other harder styles. His love of Dubstep remained, even as the new project took up more space and his earlier Dubstep project receded into the background. In the studio, he has worked with Lil Texas, GPF and Yosuf, among others; in 2024, he founded the Clinic Recordings label together with Kontor.

2025 marked a turning point: Dr Donk played a sold-out all-night-long show at Bootshaus and made his debuts at Defqon.1 and Tomorrowland. At Rampage, a genre-spanning set showed just how far his “Doctor Treatment” can extend beyond Uptempo. His releases share that openness, including collaborative tracks with GPF and Lil Texas as well as official remixes for Yellow Claw.

With ZAAGSTEP LIVE, he brought his Dubstep roots and hard dance present together in a distinct live act, which he introduced at BLACKLIST Festival. On stage, the doctor theme becomes the backdrop: clinic visuals are part of the show, along with signed “Krankschreibungen” at meet-and-greets. For festival crowds, that means hard kicks, changing tempos and a set that refuses to be pinned down to a single sound.
