About this festival
On 7 August 2027, Zwentendorf Nuclear Power Plant in Lower Austria will once again provide the backdrop for Shutdown Festival. Its tenth edition, “Rise of the Machine”, celebrates the anniversary of the one-day open-air event, bringing together the harder styles of electronic music across several stages from 12 noon until midnight. The programme features Hardstyle, Rawstyle, Hardcore and Uptempo, shaped around the community that has defined the festival for years.
Advance sales begin in mid-August 2026 with a limited Loyalty allocation. The festival pass is priced at €99 as a Super Early Bird, and admission is available from the age of 16. Visitors can travel via Tullnerfeld station and shuttle bus or by car, with parking booked through the Parkster app. Overnight stays on site are not planned; a special train will provide the return journey to Vienna.
