Zelecter

Zelecter is a DJ and producer from Heidelberg whose love of harder electronic styles finds its clearest expression in classic Hardstyle. His sets combine early Hardstyle sounds with fast beats and mash-ups, occasionally dipping into Hardcore and Uptempo.

His connection with the music began long before his DJ career: he has listened to Hardstyle since 2006 and attended Defqon.1 for the first time in 2011. He initially started DJing simply to party with friends; becoming a DJ was never part of the original plan. The journey from fan to festival act remains a central part of his story.

An early turning point came with his victory in the REBiRTH DJ Contest 2023, followed by a slot at the classics event REACTiVATE in Tilburg. There, he took the crowd through Early Hardstyle and back to a time when the line between it and Hard Trance was still blurred. He later appeared at Defqon.1, Intents and Electric Love; at Defqon.1 in particular, he was moved by the thought that he had once stood in front of the stage himself as a fan.

With „Learn From The Oldschool“, he released a release in 2024 whose title captures his affinity for Hardstyle classics. On stage, Zelecter combines that appreciation for the past with high-energy sets and an obvious enjoyment of sharing the music with the crowd.
