D-Block & S-te-Fan

D-Block & S-te-Fan are Dutch Hardstyle duo Diederik Bakker and Stefan den Daas. Their music pairs melodies with the energy of Harddance — a combination that also defines their live sets.

The pair met in 2004 and decided a year later to perform together as a DJ team. Their first release came out on DJ Dana’s label Danamite in 2005. After launching their own label, they found a new home at Scantraxx, where they were given their own sublabel, Scantraxx Evolutionz.

They made their musical breakthrough with “Keep it Coming” in 2006. Their album “Music Made Addictz” brought them into the Dutch charts for the first time in 2009, and they later appeared on major Harddance stages including Defqon.1 and Qlimax. In 2011, they even had an event of their own with X-Qlusive. Under the alias DBSTF, they temporarily opened up their sound to Big Room and released “Beautiful World” with Blasterjaxx in 2015.

These ventures beyond Hardstyle gave them fresh inspiration for music under their original name. With the album “Antidote”, they put Hardstyle firmly back at the centre in 2017. Since 2019, Ghost Stories has also been part of their stage history: a live act with Bakker’s sister Evelyn as vocalist, combining their melodic side with vocals and Hardstyle energy.
