Yoshiko

Yoshiko is the artist name of Giada Morone, a DJ and producer devoted to Hardcore, particularly Uptempo Hardcore. Born in Italy and shaped by her Japanese and Brazilian family, she takes her artist name on stage as a tribute to her aunt.

She discovered Hardstyle at 14 and was drawn to Hardcore soon afterwards. After travelling to numerous festivals abroad, she made Amsterdam her home to devote herself fully to music. What began as a playful side project developed into a passion she pursued through her own productions and live performances.

Yoshiko played to a larger audience at E-Mission Festival in 2017. The following year, she joined Traxtorm and received support from F Nøize and Da Mouth of Madness. In 2018, she performed on the main stage at Hardcore4life and at Harmony of Hardcore. That summer also saw the release of her debut single, „Pop it“, while festivals including Defqon.1 were also on her schedule.

Uptempo Hardcore is her focus, but Yoshiko does not see her sound as confined to a fixed category. On stage, she draws on energy and the experience she has built up over years of Hardcore composition and live performance.
