SCHROTTHAGEN

SCHROTTHAGEN is the techno duo of film composers Giovanni Berg and Dieter Schleip, who set out to tell stories without images. Their “cinematic techno” combines the force of Hard Techno and Trance with the dramatic storytelling of film music.

Before founding SCHROTTHAGEN in 2023, the pair had already worked together on film scores. Berg brought training in classical music and jazz, while Schleip began as a guitarist and keyboard player in punk bands. The spark for the duo came from a techno track created for a film scene, which received a strong response on social media after its release.

Their 2024 release “Sturm und Drang” was followed by the album “Nostalgie und Traurigkeit” in 2025. Their music took them on a sold-out European tour with more than 31 club and festival dates, followed by a US tour in March 2025 that included a stop in New York.

On stage, driving rhythms and atmospheric synthesisers meet melodies that give their tracks emotional depth. Their experience in film and television becomes a live sound that does more than move the crowd—it creates images in the mind.
