MAYDAY 2027 takes place at Westfalenhallen Dortmund on 30 April 2027. The twelve-hour rave begins at 7 pm, bringing together four stages and an extensive electronic music programme. Held under the motto ICONIC, the event continues MAYDAY’s long-standing Dortmund tradition and runs into the early hours of 1 May.
The event is aimed at fans of techno, rave and other electronic styles. With multiple stages and more than 30 DJs announced, the night offers a focused festival experience at a major indoor venue. Westfalenhallen Dortmund is accessible by public transport; travel and ticket information for the 2027 edition will be available via the event website.

Questions & answers
How do I get to the festival?
Westfalenhallen in Dortmund is easily accessible by public transport. From Dortmund Central Station, take RB53, RB59 or RB52 to Signal Iduna Park or Westfalenhallen. After the event, a special service runs every 20 minutes from Westfalenhalle U to Dortmund Central Station. MAYDAY also offers a free VRR ticket for return travel on buses, trams, and 2nd-class RE-, RB- and S-Bahn services across the entire VRR area, valid from 30 April to 1 May 2027.
Is parking available?
Parking is available at the Westfalenhallen. However, the event team recommends travelling by public transport, as tickets are valid free of charge throughout the VRR area.
How old do I need to be to get in?
Entry to MAYDAY is permitted from the age of 16. Younger visitors will not be admitted.
Will tickets be available on the door?
Tickets will be available on the door. Buying in advance is recommended to avoid waiting times.
How do I pay on site?
MAYDAY operates a cashless system. All payments on site are made exclusively using a cashless wristband. Credit can be added online around two weeks before the event, with further top-ups available at the TopUp stations on site. Any unused credit can be refunded after the event.
What can I bring, and what is prohibited?
You may bring sunscreen, medication, e-cigarette liquids, roll-on deodorant, empty collapsible water bottles, small umbrellas and bags up to a maximum of A4 size. Weapons, illegal drugs, irritant gas, spray deodorants, laser pointers, pyrotechnics, food and drinks, bottles and cans, seating, drones and professional video cameras are prohibited. Larger backpacks are not permitted.
Is the site accessible?
Westfalenhallen has accessible entrances, and disabled parking is available. Visitors with reduced mobility receive a discount on request, while one accompanying person is admitted free of charge. Guide dogs are welcome, and staff are on hand throughout the site to provide assistance.
Can I leave the site during the event?
Re-entry is available for a €5 fee charged to your cashless wristband. The option can be booked in advance online via the event portal or on site at the TopUp points and box offices. Once activated, you may leave and re-enter the site multiple times.
