NICOLAS JULIAN

Nicolas Julian is a Berlin-based DJ and producer who combines Hard Techno, Hard Trance and Hard Groove into an energetic sound. He releases most of his music independently and brings people together beyond his DJ sets through his own event series.

It began in Hamburg, where he organised his first events as a teenager and started DJing early. From 2022 onwards, he increasingly drew on sounds from the nineties, while aiming to do more than simply repeat familiar motifs.

His career gained significant momentum in 2023 with the launch of his One Hour Rave series and the release of Mask Off. Mask Off, his reworking of a track by Future, has reached more than 70 million streams. His live presence also expanded, with appearances at Parookaville, Bootshaus and later festivals including Ikarus and Electric Love. In 2024, he released the Hard Techno track 303 (Sound Of The Underground) with Ultimo, which was played in sets by Charlotte de Witte and Alignment, among others. The EP Bow & Arrow followed that same year, while Julian also established Backlog as his own label for his music.

On stage, he goes all in and sees the atmosphere between himself and the crowd as an essential part of his sets. Festival-goers can expect a powerful mix of Hard Techno, Hard Trance and Hard Groove.
