About this festival
Following its move from the summer date, Free Your Mind takes place at Martiniplaza in Groningen on 21 November 2026. The indoor festival runs from 2pm to 11pm, with several areas hosting techno, house and tech house. Entry is for ages 18 and over, with tickets available through the organiser’s official ticket shop.
Since 2004, the festival has regularly welcomed international names from the electronic music scene, including Paul Kalkbrenner, Charlotte de Witte and Boris Brejcha in previous years. Martiniplaza, at Leonard Springerlaan 2, is the largest events venue in the north of the Netherlands.

Questions & answers
How old do I have to be to get in?
Free Your Mind events are open to those aged 18 or over only. ID must be shown on request; entry is not possible without valid identification.
What can I bring, and what is prohibited?
Small bags are permitted; large bags are not recommended. All items carried with you will be checked on entry. Medicines may be brought in for medical reasons, provided that you present a medical certificate and ID. E-cigarettes and vapes are permitted; e-liquid must be in its sealed original packaging, with a maximum of one pack per person.
Is the site accessible?
The festival aims to make access possible for everyone: at outdoor events, accessible routes lead to the stages, a wider guest entrance makes entry easier, and accessible toilets are available. Visitors with limited mobility can contact the festival by email in advance to arrange support and use the guest entrance.
Where is smoking permitted?
Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas. Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vapes, is not allowed outside these areas. In general, smoking and vaping are permitted outdoors only, not under roofs or in tents.
