Festningen 2027

On the first weekend of September, the hill at Kristiansten festning above the rooftops of Trondheim becomes a festival stage once again. Festningen takes place on 3 and 4 September 2027 and is one of Central Norway’s largest music festivals. The site is within walking distance of the city centre, offers views across the city and is step-free throughout; a dedicated platform with views of both stages is available for wheelchair users.

Music runs late into the night on both days, with gates opening in the late afternoon. Entry is for ages 18 or over; accompanying persons with ID are admitted without their own ticket. Food and drink are available in the site’s catering area, while bringing your own supplies is not permitted. Those planning to attend in 2027 can buy the festival pass in advance; programme names will be announced gradually through the festival’s channels.
