Castle Festival 2027

On the banks of the Kolpa, where the river forms the border with Croatia, the village of Fara in the municipality of Kostel will once again become a festival site from 22 to 25 July 2027. Campsite, swimming beach and stages are all within a few minutes’ walk of one another, between the river, forest and Kostel Castle on the hill. Castle Festival combines concerts with a summer holiday by the water.

Over three evenings, the Dragon Stage main stage hosts Slovenian and regional rock, pop and rap bands. The second stage, Arena Experience, is dedicated to electronic music; in 2026, Umek, Mike Vale and Rotor Motor were among those behind the decks. Beach parties, DJ sets, yoga and sports tournaments form part of the daytime programme. The 2027 programme will be announced gradually.

Camping is available directly on site: the camp opens on 22 July, with departure scheduled by Sunday midday, while early entry on Wednesday can be added. A four-day Dragon Stage ticket costs €49.90, day tickets start at €34.90, and a festival and camping ticket package starts at €59.90. Travel is via Ljubljana or Rijeka, then by car to the Kostel region.
