Caught in the Act

Caught in the Act are a British-Dutch boy band who enjoyed major success in Germany during the 1990s.

Their story began in 1992, when producer Cees van Leeuwen assembled the group with Lee Baxter, Benjamin Boyce, Eloy de Jong and Bastiaan Ragas. Their first releases were followed by a turning point in 1994: guest appearances in the series Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten introduced the four members to a wide German audience.

The song Love Is Everywhere, performed on the show, reached number ten in the German singles chart and was later awarded Gold for 250,000 units sold. The album Forever Friends also struck a chord with fans, reaching number two in the German album chart in 1996. After further successes, the group came to an abrupt end in 1998, marked by a farewell concert in Magdeburg.

Caught in the Act returned at the end of 2015 without Benjamin Boyce, bringing their music back to the stage. Since Eloy de Jong's departure in 2019, Bastiaan Ragas and Lee Baxter have continued the band with new members. Several 90s Super Show appearances, from Hamburg to Rostock, are scheduled for 2026 and 2027.
