About this festival
Thuishaven in Amsterdam West will once again host Winter of Love Festival on 12 December 2026. The event celebrates house and club classics from 1989 to 2005, while its organiser, The Beginning of House, has shaped Amsterdam’s house culture for more than three decades. Classics ranging from late-eighties Chicago house to early-noughties club anthems will be heard across the site.
The organisation grew out of underground parties in Beverwijk and Haarlem and is now among the established names on the Dutch house scene. Tickets are available through the official ticket shop. Further DJs and programme details will be announced throughout the season.

Questions & answers
How do I get to the festival?
The festival site is located on Contactweg in west Amsterdam. By public transport, you can reach it via Isolatorweg metro station, best accessed from Amsterdam Sloterdijk station, or via the Contactweg bus stop from Sloterdijk and Amsterdam Centraal; both are around a five-minute walk from the site. The last metro from Isolatorweg to Sloterdijk leaves at around midnight, after which the N81 night bus runs hourly.
Is parking available?
Several parking options, some of them free, are available near the site on Contactweg. They are not monitored, so valuables should be taken with you or stored in the lockers on site.
How old do I need to be to get in?
This is an 18+ event. All visitors must show a valid form of ID on entry; a photo or copy is not sufficient. Accepted forms of ID are a driving licence, identity card or passport.
How do I pay on site?
Food and drinks on site are paid for using token coins, available from the cash desks beside the bars and kitchen. During the daytime shows, the cash desks accept both card and cash payments; during the night shows, card payments only.
What can I bring, and what is prohibited?
Prohibited items include hard drugs, nitrous oxide and pre-rolled joints (up to five grams of cannabis are permitted provided it is not pre-rolled), food and drinks brought from outside, glass, plastic bottles and cans, umbrellas, selfie sticks, confetti, laser pointers and candles, professional cameras, weapons and fireworks. Medication may only be brought in where strictly necessary; an official medical certificate is required.
What happens in bad weather?
All stages across the site are covered and additionally heated in winter. As the festival takes place in December, it is fully covered and therefore unaffected by the weather.
Is the site accessible?
Almost the entire site is paved, making all stages fully accessible and suitable for wheelchair users. An accessible toilet cubicle is located opposite the first-aid station.
Can I leave the site and return later?
Leaving the site and re-entering is not possible. Anyone who leaves the site cannot return for this event.
