About this festival
For the second time, Kleinwalsertal becomes a festival stage in early March: Valley of Sound runs from 4 to 7 March 2027 across several locations between the mountains and the valley. The main stage is located at the Walmendingerhorn car park in Mittelberg, joined by Ifenhütte, Auenhütte and Gasthof Hörnlepass in Hirschegg. A Warm-up Day on 3 March sets the tone for the weekend at selected locations.
Electronic dance music takes centre stage in the evenings: House, tech house and techno alternate on the Electrisize Stage at Ifenhütte and a dedicated Techno Stage at Auenhütte, alongside hardhouse and Afro-house sets. There is also live music, including rock'n'roll from The Monroes and a rock set by Beatsteaks bassist Totze Trippi.
By day, the valley belongs to winter sports. The Oberstdorf-Kleinwalsertal two-country ski region offers 130 kilometres of pistes and 48 lifts; shuttle buses connect the locations and run back to the accommodation into the night. Festival wristbands will be issued in Riezlern from 1 March, and a mountain-lift ticket is not included in the festival pass.
