About this festival
SONICA Festival takes place in Ljubljana from 5 to 14 November 2026, marking its 18th edition. The festival of electronic music and transitory art unfolds across several venues in the Slovenian capital: the Perfect Blue exhibition opens the programme at the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova, two sound artists perform at the monumental Trnovo Church, and the main concert takes place at Kino Šiška. A club night at Channel Zero brings the festival to a close.
Confirmed artists include Spanish composer Marina Herlop with her new album Dja Dja, Düsseldorf DJ Vladimir Ivkovic, Japanese sound artist FUJI|||||||||||TA, and duo Black Dot, who blend EBM, wave and techno. There will also be sound performances by Simina Oprescu, while AV duo Estelle Schorpp & Charline Dally present their work dreamachine. Resident artists Matej Mihevc and Szymon Pimpon Gąsiorek will premiere their work at MoTA LAB.
The official ticket provider sells tickets for individual evenings and the full festival. An early-bird pass currently costs 48 euros, while day tickets range from 18 to 26 euros.
