About this festival
Berlin hosts a festival devoted entirely to live electronic music at the end of October: Sound Metaphors Festival 2026 takes over Berghain, including Panorama Bar, Säule and Kantine, from 28 to 30 October. The programme is curated by Berlin label and record collective Sound Metaphors, which has been throwing parties for over ten years.
The opening night is dedicated to concerts in Kantine, with Mohammad Reza Mortazavi, Okkyung Lee, Olga Anna Markowska and Marylou performing. On the second night, Alessandro Cortini brings an AV show to Berghain alongside live sets from Grand River and Jonathan Fitoussi, while ASIA plays a DJ set. The final night spans all stages, featuring live sets from Mark Fell, Robert Henke, Surgeon, Temple Rat and Z@P, plus DJ sets from Daphni, John Talabot, Jane Fitz and Aba Shanti-I.
The programme ranges from techno and ambient to dub and experimental electronic music. Tickets are available separately for each night, from €29 for the opening concerts to €42 on the door for the closing night.
