About this festival
Into the Woods 2026 takes place at Bosspot Openluchttheater in Amersfoort on 18 and 19 September. The fifteenth edition of the electronic music festival is already sold out for both days. More than 100 Dutch and international artists will perform across nine stages in the woodland setting. Joris Voorn, DVS1, Luke Slater and Palms Trax are among the programme’s headliners.
The festival transforms the Birchenwald site into an artistic landscape of life-sized installations, light artworks and creative interventions. Artistic contributions complement the music stages, while the event brings together electronic genres including techno and house with a holistic festival experience in nature.
Into the Woods is considered a seasonal highlight of the Dutch festival calendar. Visitors can travel via Amersfoort railway station and use the shuttle service, or arrive by bicycle. The site is accessible. Tickets were available exclusively in advance and have completely sold out.

Questions & answers
How do I get to the festival?
Shuttle buses run from Amersfoort Centraal station to the festival site. A return ticket costs €8.50 and is purchased through your Paylogic customer account. Buses depart from the front of the station and run from 11:00 am until 1:00 am. Walking from the centre takes around 30 minutes, while hire bikes and e-scooters reduce the journey to about ten minutes.
How old do I have to be to get in?
Entry is for ages 18 and over only. You will need a valid ticket and an official photo ID at the entrance.
How do I pay on site?
Food and drinks on site are paid for with tokens, available from the cash desks. You can pay for them in cash or by debit card; tokens are valid for this edition only and cannot be exchanged.
What can I bring, and what is prohibited?
Items not permitted include drugs, food and drink, bottles, cans, umbrellas, selfie sticks, glass, fireworks, balloons, confetti, pets, drones, and professional photography and audio-recording equipment. Sun cream is allowed. Essential medication, as well as food and liquids required because of an allergy or medical condition, may be brought in with a medical certificate.
Is the site accessible?
The site is not fully accessible, but many areas can be reached via paved paths. An accessible entrance and accessible toilets are available, while an accessible car park is being prepared. Individual requirements can be submitted to the festival via a form.
Can I leave the site and return later?
Only weekend ticket holders may leave the site and re-enter. Day ticket holders cannot return once they have left.
Are dogs allowed on site?
Pets, including dogs, are not permitted on the festival site.
