About this festival
Two weekends in April in Krems an der Donau belong to contemporary art: donaufestival 2027 takes place from 16 to 18 April and from 23 to 25 April. Across six festival days, around 60 international, often cross-disciplinary artistic positions will present their work at changing venues around the city. A day ticket gives access to up to 20 events per day.
The programme brings together music, performance, visual art, film and discussion formats. Previous editions have placed electronic productions alongside experimental bands and lecture performances, with stages and exhibition spaces spread across Krems’ old town. Admission to the current Kunstmeile Krems exhibitions is included in the ticket.
The city lies around 70 kilometres north-west of Vienna and is connected by rail. The dates for 2027 have been confirmed; the names of the participants will follow with the programme announcement.
