Questions & answers
How do I get to the festival?
Dekmantel Festival takes place across several locations in Amsterdam, with its main site in the Amsterdamse Bos (Nieuwe Meerlaan 1, Amstelveen). Cycling is the recommended and most sustainable way to travel: it takes around 45 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal and about 20 minutes from Amsterdam Zuid. A shuttle bus runs from Amstel Station to the festival site (return ticket: €14.50 online, €15.50 on site). From Schiphol Airport, take bus 199 to reach the site by public transport in around 20 minutes.
Is parking available?
Travelling by car is not recommended. However, limited parking is available near the festival site and campsite. The address for your sat nav is Rietwijkeroordweg 59, Amstelveen. Parking costs €40 for the weekend or €20 per day, payable on site. A kiss-and-ride zone is also available.
How old do I need to be to get in?
The festival is open to visitors aged 18 or over. Valid ID may be required at the entrance. The Into-the-City concerts, however, are suitable for all ages; hearing protection is mandatory for visitors under 18.
Is the site accessible?
The festival site in the Amsterdamse Bos is partly accessible. There is a wheelchair-accessible entrance (80 to 110 centimetres wide, with modular extensions available) and accessible toilets. Limited reserved parking is available for visitors with reduced mobility; spaces can be reserved by emailing support@dekmantel.com. All Into-the-City venues are also accessible.
