Malmöfestivalen

From 13 to 20 August 2027, Malmö city centre will once again become a festival site for eight days. Malmöfestivalen has shaped the Scandinavian summer since 1985, bringing free events to the city’s squares and streets. Stortorget, home to the main stage, sits at the heart of the festival, alongside a food area at Gustav Adolfs torg and a market street along Södergatan.

The programme combines pop, rock, hip-hop and electronic music with art, talks and participatory activities for a broad audience. With stages located in the city centre, they are reachable on foot and by public transport, and no festival pass is required. The 2027 line-up has not yet been announced, and no announcement date has been confirmed. Anyone planning to attend should check the official map shortly before the festival, as individual locations may change from year to year.
