MUTILATOR

Behind Mutilator is Bram Luyten, a DJ and producer who combines Raw Hardstyle with powerful kicks and futuristic sounds. His music is built for big stages without losing sight of its raw energy.

When he played the Intents Festival mainstage in 2023, he had only been active in the Hardstyle scene for five years. Together with Anderex, he produced the anthem for Gearbox: Twin Turbo; their collaboration soon led to the joint live act Neon Future.

Mutilator described “Onslaught” as his breakthrough, while “Psychedelics” reached number one in the Hardstyle Top 40 in 2023. The turbulent start to Neon Future became clear shortly before its first appearance at AFAS Live: the batteries in the illuminated masks caught fire, forcing the duo on stage without the planned lights. Later, at HSU Knockout Outdoor, Mutilator watched thousands sing along to the vocals and melody – a special moment for him.

Neon Future combines the pair’s Raw Hardstyle sound with a futuristic stage concept. Mutilator and Anderex now wear black masks instead of the illuminated ones. For festival crowds, powerful basslines and distorted kicks meet an act seeking its own visual signature too.
