HYSTA

Hysta, real name Thaïs Morel, is a French DJ and producer who found her way from the free-party scene into European hardcore. Her performances combine the genre’s force with rave aesthetics and a stage energy that has become her trademark.

She is from La Gacilly in Brittany and spent part of her childhood on a sailing boat before discovering free parties in France as a teenager. At 16, she bought her first turntables and began DJing at small parties and local raves. Her debut single, “My Secret”, was released on The Third Movement in 2021; she later also released music on Masters of Hardcore and Q-dance Music.

Hysta made her Dominator debut in 2022, and a year later became the first French DJ to play the Thunderdome main stage. In 2024, she also brought her own show, “Wolfs City”, to Bulgaria and France. That same year, she toured Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia before continuing on to South America. A special moment followed in September 2025: she played a 60-minute hardcore set on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, for which she also composed the track “Little Things”.

Musically, Hysta blends classic hardcore techno with modern and experimental elements, while Frenchcore, Gabber and Uptempo Hardcore also form part of her repertoire. Anyone seeing her on a festival stage today can expect powerful sounds, hard drops and the restless energy that has taken her from small raves to major stages.
