D-STURB

D-Sturb, whose real name is Jorrit Popkema, is a Dutch hardstyle DJ and producer. His music combines powerful kick rolls with atmospheric melodies, giving his sound both force and space.

His musical journey began early: he played the violin from the age of four, electric guitar from eleven, and discovered electronic production on a computer as a teenager. After studying at the Herman Brood Academie in Utrecht, he released his first single, „System Overload“, in 2012 before joining Gearbox Digital in 2015. Alongside this, he founded the big-room project Pitchback with fellow student Ralph Niemeyer, leaving it in early 2017 to refocus on hardstyle.

A key step followed in 2016 when he joined End Of Line Recordings and collaborated with Radical Redemption on „Kill Me“. Later releases included „Synchronised“ with Warface and the Intents Festival anthem „Heroes Of The Night“ with Sub Zero Project. His live career has taken him to major hardstyle events including Supremacy, Defqon.1, Intents Festival and Decibel Outdoor.

„Welcome To My Playground“ and „Through My Veins“ followed as albums in 2023 and 2024. New releases also arrived in 2026, including the Defqon.1 anthem „Sacred Oath“; on stage, the tension between hard rhythms and melodic atmosphere remains his signature.
