About this festival
SunIce Festival Ascona 2026 takes place from 17 to 19 September at Lido Ascona in Switzerland. The third summer edition combines three festival days with a programme of electronic music on Lake Maggiore. Three stages shape the weekend, with opening hours from 16:30 to midnight on Thursday and from 13:00 to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
The confirmed line-up includes Cassian, Chris Avantgarde, Ely Oaks, Layla Benitez, Louis Bekk, Marten Lou, Mont Rouge, MRAK, Novah and Topic. The festival site in Ascona is located directly in the holiday region around the lake. Shuttle services from Lido Ascona to Locarno are planned for the journey home after the programme. Accommodation can be arranged separately through selected partner hotels in Ascona and Locarno.

How do I get to the festival?
The festival site at Lido Ascona can be reached by train to Locarno, then by bus, taxi or the free SunIce Festival Shuttle. The nearest bus stop is Ascona, Via Pancaldi Mola.
Is parking available?
Parking is not permitted directly at the festival site; vehicles parked there may be towed away. Official parking areas nearby will be signposted, with further details announced before the event. A free shuttle runs between the car parks and the festival.
How old do I need to be to get in?
Entry is permitted only to those aged 18 or over. A valid official ID is required and will be checked. No exceptions can be made.
How can I pay on site?
The festival is cashless. Only card payments and TWINT are accepted; cash payments are not possible.
What can I bring, and what is prohibited?
Outside drinks, bottles, illegal substances, animals and dangerous items are not permitted. Bags may be checked at the entrance.
What happens in bad weather?
The festival generally takes place in all weather conditions. In the event of severe weather or safety concerns, the situation will be assessed on site and communicated via the official channels.
Is the site accessible?
The festival’s main area is accessible to wheelchair users. Some areas may not be fully accessible. Companions of visitors with disabilities receive free admission.
Can I leave the site during the festival?
Re-entry is not permitted. Once your ticket has been scanned at the entrance, you cannot leave and re-enter the site.
