Questions & answers

How do I get to the festival?

The festival takes place at Folkets Park in Trollhättan, at Kungsportsvägen 1, 461 39 Trollhättan. The city is easily reached by train, bus and car, with the railway station just a few minutes’ walk from the festival site. Trains from Gothenburg take around 35 to 40 minutes, while the journey from Vänersborg takes around eleven minutes.

Is parking available?

Parking is available in central Trollhättan, with plenty of options around a five- to ten-minute walk from the festival site. Campers can use one of the limited parking spaces at the campsite, allocated according to a system set by the festival organisers.

How old do I need to be to get in?

For safety reasons, children under three may not attend the festival. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult throughout their stay; the campsite is restricted to those aged 18 or over unless accompanied. Children aged three to 14 enter free when accompanied, but children under 13 must wear hearing protection near the stages.

How can I pay on site?

Subkult generally does not accept cash, either at the entrance or at the bars. In some cases, individual exhibitors, artists or food trucks may accept cash.

What can I bring, and what is prohibited?

Weapons, tools, drinks, sharp objects, glass containers, spray cans, drugs, personal alcohol, food bought elsewhere and personal speakers are not permitted. Handbags, tote bags and standard backpacks are allowed but will be searched. Prescription medication may be brought in; a medical certificate should be presented at the entrance. Personal bottles must be empty, and water can be refilled on site.

Is the site accessible?

The festival is actively working to improve accessibility and supports guests with additional support needs. As a non-profit association, it does not have funding available for services such as sign language interpreters. One companion may attend free of charge.
