About this festival

On 24 July 2027, Eckernförde’s Südstrand will become an open-air party destination for electronic music. Strandgut Festival brings techno, electro and house to the Baltic Sea. The one-day festival on the sandy beach gives international DJs a stage overlooking Eckernförder Bucht. The event starts in the afternoon and runs into the late evening.

The musical programme focuses on electronic dance music, with areas for techno, electro and house. Previous editions have featured national and international artists. Its beachside setting between the dunes and the Baltic Sea creates a distinctive festival atmosphere. The organiser of Tante Mia tanzt brings another electro open-air event to northern Germany with Strandgut Festival.

Buying tickets early is recommended, as the festival regularly sells out. The site can be reached via the B76 and the Kiel–Flensburg railway line. Camping is not permitted on site or on the beach. The organiser will add further acts and programme highlights gradually.

Questions & answers

How do I get to the festival?

If you are travelling by car, parking is available in designated car parks at the ZOB in Eckernförde town centre and at Schulzentrum Süd on Sauerstraße; there is no parking at Südstrand itself. The site is around a ten-minute drive from Eckernförde station, with shuttle buses and taxis available from there. A shuttle runs between the ZOB and Südstrand from 11 am. A return journey costs 4 euros and can only be paid for in cash on the bus.

Is parking available?

There is no parking at Südstrand. Visitors can park in the designated car parks at the ZOB in Eckernförde town centre and at Schulzentrum Süd on Sauerstraße; signage will direct you to the sites. Eckernförde’s parking guidance system also shows the way.

How old do I need to be to get in?

Entry to Strandgut Festival is strictly for those aged 18 or over. Anyone under 18 will not be admitted, even if accompanied; the use of “Muttizetteln” is not permitted.

Will there be a box office?

Depending on availability, festival tickets may be available at a box office. Whether one will be set up will be announced in good time; in any case, ticket prices at the box office will be higher than in the online advance sale.

How do I pay on site?

The festival site operates a token system: drinks and food are paid for with tokens, which can be bought from payment booths once the site opens. Card and cash payments are accepted there. A one-token deposit is charged per drink. There is no cash machine on site.

What can I bring, and what is prohibited?

Permitted items include medication with medical proof, power banks, sun cream in tubes or plastic bottles of up to 250 millilitres, bags up to A4 size, flags up to A1 size and folding umbrellas. Glass, fireworks, weapons, animals, umbrellas, professional photography and video equipment, and food and drinks brought from outside are prohibited.

Can I leave the site during the festival?

All tickets are “one way”: if you leave the festival site, your admission is no longer valid for that opening day. Re-entry is therefore not possible.

What are the festival's opening hours?

Strandgut Festival runs from 12 noon to 10 pm. The site opens from around 11:30 am.
