About this festival
Sommerliebe Openair 2026 takes place on 1 August at Freibad Ostermundigen near Bern. This one-day open-air event focuses on electronic music, using the swimming pool grounds for a summer festival day. Ostermundigen, Freibad stop on RBS line 44 provides a direct public transport connection, while the site can also be reached via Ostermundigen station.
The confirmed line-up includes Joshwa and Malive. Alongside the regular festival area, VIP lounges offer table service and views across the site and stage. An official afterparty will follow at Le Ciel Club in Bern. How do I get to the festival?
Travel via Ostermundigen or Gümligen station. From Bern, take bus 10 or the S-Bahn to Ostermundigen, then bus 44 or the festival shuttle. Alternatively, take bus 6A, tram 6 or the S-Bahn from Bern to Gümligen. The shuttle bus is included with your ticket.
Is parking available?
Limited parking is available on site for CHF 10 per day, payable via TWINT. As spaces are limited, travelling by public transport or bicycle is recommended.
How old do I need to be to get in?
Entry is for ages 18 and over. A valid ID will be checked at the entrance.
How can I pay on site?
The festival is cashless. All major cards, PostFinance and TWINT are accepted. Lockers can be used for CHF 5 in cash.
What can I bring, and what is prohibited?
Glass containers, drinks, food, weapons of any kind, pyrotechnics, fireworks and drones are prohibited. Prohibited items will be confiscated at the entrance.
What happens in bad weather?
The festival goes ahead in all weather conditions. Visitors are asked to check the forecast and dress accordingly.
Is the site accessible?
The site is mainly grass and sand, so it is only partly suitable for wheelchair users.
