About this festival
Snowboxx combines a week of skiing with an electronic music festival in the highest village in the Portes du Soleil ski area. The 2027 edition takes place in Avoriaz, near Morzine in the French Alps, from 13 to 20 March. The slopes take centre stage by day, while stages and après-ski venues take over in the evening. The car-free village is reached by cable car from Les Prodains, and parking at the valley station can be booked in advance.
The festival site, with stages, snow bars and street-food stalls, is centrally located in the village. Alongside festival tickets including a lift pass, packages with accommodation in Avoriaz apartments are available. Acts for the 2027 edition will be announced in two batches; the named programme has yet to be revealed at the time of announcement. How do I get to the festival?
The nearest airport is Geneva, and all organised transfers depart from Terminal 1. You can also travel by car. Avoriaz itself is car-free, so getting around the resort is on foot or by snow taxi, including with your luggage.
Is parking available?
If you are travelling by car, you should book parking in advance. Outdoor parking costs €80 per week, while covered parking costs €100 per week. Snow chains or winter tyres are required in poor weather.
How old do I need to be to get in?
Snowboxx is aimed at adults. Families can use the ski facilities, but all festival events are only accessible to those aged 18 or over.
How do I pay on site?
The festival site is cashless. Every wristband has an RFID chip, which can be topped up online in advance or at top-up stations on site; these stations accept card payments only. Merchandise is also paid for using the wristband.
