About this festival
The 17th edition of ROBOT Festival, titled “Syntax Error”, is dedicated to electronic music and digital art in Bologna from 8 to 10 October 2026. The festival takes place across several venues in the city: the DumBO industrial site, Estragon club, Ex Ospedale dei Bastardini and the MAST Auditorium. Advance events in September at Palazzo Re Enzo and the Parco Archeologico Kainua in Marzabotto will open the edition ahead of the three main days.
The programme spans experimental and danceable forms of electronic music. Confirmed artists include Autechre, Actress, Blawan, Batu, Boys Noize, Moodymann, DJ Stingray 313, Mykki Blanco, Space Afrika and Lawrence English. There will also be audiovisual performances, plus educational and children's programmes under the names ROBOT Learn and ROBOT Kids. Tickets are available for individual evenings and subscriptions, while the Full Pass covers the nights at DumBO and Ex Ospedale dei Bastardini. The festival is organised and presented by the cultural association Shape APS.
