About this festival
From 3 to 6 September 2026, Meakusma Festival takes over the Belgian city of Eupen in the country’s German-speaking east. The Kulturzentrum Alter Schlachthof is the main venue, joined by numerous other venues across the city centre. Across four days, the festival brings together live performances, DJ sets, sound installations, workshops and radio shows in a programme of experimental electronic music.
Organised by the Meakusma collective and ArsVitha, the festival has established itself as a platform for avant-garde sound and electronic music at the boundaries of the genre since its founding. The 2026 line-up features 164 artists from the experimental and electronic music scene. A campsite directly next to the Alter Schlachthof offers accommodation for €20 to €25. Tickets are available as day and multi-day passes, ranging from €35 for Thursday to €150 for the full four-day ticket.

The campsite is directly next to the main venue, Alter Schlachthof, and costs €20 (early bird) to €25 per person, regardless of length of stay.
Questions & answers
How do I get to the festival?
Eupen lies between Brussels and Cologne and is easy to reach by car, train or bus. By car, take the E40 motorway to exit 38-Eupen. Trains run hourly on the Ostend–Brussels–Liège–Eupen route. Eurolines and FlixBus services stop in Liège or Aachen, with onward travel by bus or train.
Is parking available?
Free parking is available within walking distance of the festival site. Exit 38-Eupen on the E40 motorway leads directly into the city.
