About this festival
Insomnia Festival is one of Northern Norway’s defining electronic music festivals and marks its twenty-fifth edition in Tromsø in 2026. From mid-October, the city that once gave the techno scene urban pioneers such as Röyksopp and Biosphere becomes a hub for electronic music for four days. The focus is on technoid, experimental and minimalist music, spread across concerts, club nights and workshops at venues and cultural spaces throughout the Arctic city. Alongside internationally recognised acts including Terrence Dixon and Rolando Simmons, numerous local and European musicians will perform.
The programme brings together interconnected venues, from the main room at Bryggeriet to further locations, combining concerts, performance and sound experiments. The festival is aimed at a discerning audience that appreciates electronic music as an art form. Tickets are available through the official festival website and its partners, where the available categories and terms are also listed. The full line-up for the 2026 edition is published on the official website and is updated there on an ongoing basis.
