About this festival
On 17 July 2027, the Strandbadparkplatz in Attersee am Attersee once again becomes the setting for an open-air event from radio station FM4. The FM4 Boombox gets underway in the afternoon at Sprinzensteinpark, before the main programme begins at 6 pm on the shores of Upper Austria’s largest lake and runs until 1 am. Turquoise water, a dancing crowd and electronic sounds define the atmosphere of this single-day festival in the Salzkammergut.
Tickets cost €39 during the Super Early Bird phase, €44 for Early Bird tickets and €49 at the regular price. Several paid car parks and a free car park are available around the site, while public transport is also an option. The evening brings together music, swimming and summer vibes right by the water, continuing late into the night.
Camping
If you would like to stay overnight after the festival, pitches are available at Campingplatz Wimroither Mühle am Attersee, around a five-minute walk from the site. Whether camping in a tent or staying in a camper or van, accommodation costs €28 per person per night plus tourist tax, payable directly on site. Check-in is available until 20:00 on both Fridays and Saturdays. A pitch can be reserved via the registration form on the festival website; otherwise, it is first come, first served while capacity lasts.

How do I get to the festival?
The main event takes place at the Strandbadparkplatz Attersee, Nußdorferstraße 15, while the warm-up featuring the FM4 Boombox is held in Sprinzensteinpark. The nearest stop is Attersee railway station, a five-minute walk from Sprinzensteinpark and directly opposite the main event site.
How old do I need to be to get in?
Entry is open to those aged 16 or over, with age checked at the entrance. Guests under 16 may only enter the site when accompanied by a legal guardian.
Will there be tickets available at the box office?
Remaining tickets will be available at the box office, provided the festival has not already sold out in advance. Buying a ticket through the official ticket shop beforehand guarantees entry and is cheaper.
How can I pay on site?
At the bars, you can pay by cash or card; card payments are accepted from €15. Payment arrangements at the food trucks vary, and the nearest cash machine is at the Sparkasse, around 50 metres from the festival entrance.
What can I bring, and what is prohibited?
Items you may not bring onto the festival site include your own drinks or food, glass bottles, cans, aerosol cans, weapons, sharp objects, highly flammable liquids, animals, drones and fireworks. Bulky items such as picnic baskets and prams are also not permitted.
What happens in bad weather?
The festival goes ahead even in the rain. Only if there is an imminent danger, for example due to extreme weather conditions, may the event be cancelled. In that case, there will be no replacement date and all tickets will be refunded.
Is the site accessible?
The entire festival site is accessible, and accessible sanitary facilities are also available.
