About this festival
Extrema Outdoor Belgium 2027 takes place at De Plas in Houthalen-Helchteren from 14 to 16 May 2027 and is one of Belgium’s largest electronic open-air festivals. Across three days, the festival presents a wide-ranging programme of dance, techno, house and electronic music on several stages set around the lake. Its picturesque setting in the Kelchterhoef recreational area of Limburg shapes the summery festival experience.
Alongside its music stages, the site offers food and drink, lounge areas and camping options. Extrema Outdoor attracts an international audience and draws up to 70,000 visitors each year. Camping
A camping area is available at Extrema Outdoor. Visitors may bring their own camping equipment. Campervans and motorhomes are no longer permitted due to a revised traffic plan. Access to the camping area requires a Weekend Ticket + Camping or a Weekend VIP Ticket + Camping & Parking. District Glamping with fixed accommodation is also available. Daily afterparties take place on the campsite, which opens on Thursday.

How old do I need to be to get in?
Extrema Outdoor is an event for ages 18 and over. The festival team may ask for ID at the entrances; admission may be refused without it.
How do I pay on site?
The festival site is cashless. Visitors can pay by debit card, credit card or smartphone wallet at all bars, food stalls and shops. There are no tokens or conversion fees.
What can I bring, and what is prohibited?
The event site has a list of prohibited items and behaviours. Visitors are asked to read the house rules before attending. Sunscreen is permitted.
Is the site accessible?

Can I leave the site during the festival?
Day visitors cannot re-enter once they have left the site. Visitors with camping or weekend tickets, as well as guests of the Extrema Resort, may re-enter.
