About this festival
Electric Castle in Bonțida, Transylvania, is one of Romania’s largest music festivals. The 2027 edition takes place from 16 to 19 July on the expansive Bánffy Castle estate near Cluj-Napoca. Several stages are set around the historic Baroque castle, presenting a mix of electronic music, indie, rock and hip-hop. More than two hundred artists provide a continuous programme across four days and nights.
The festival’s own campsite, EC Village, opens on 15 July with an opening party, making it possible to stay on site for several days. Alongside the concerts, the programme includes art installations, talks and further activities beyond music. Special trains from Cluj-Napoca and shuttle buses make it easier to travel from the city to the castle. Tickets for the 2027 edition are available via the official website, which also lists the current terms for camping and festival passes.

Questions & answers
How do I get to the festival?
Electric Castle takes place in July 2027 at Bánffy Castle in Bonțida, around 25 km from Cluj-Napoca. Throughout the festival, buses run continuously between Cluj and the site; dedicated EC trains also take around 40 minutes, while all national trains stop in Bonțida during the festival. Public transport is recommended for those travelling by car.
Is there a box office?
Tickets are available in sales phases while stocks last, until the final festival day or until sold out. Each admission ticket is issued in one person’s name and is non-transferable; ID is checked against the ticket on entry. The shop offers, among other options, the General Access Pass, VIP Pass, Youth Pass U25, Camping Pass and Black Ticket.
