About this festival
Burning Mountain Festival takes place from 24 to 27 June 2027 at the Charal site near Zernez in the Engadin. At an altitude of 1470 metres, the Alpine site becomes an open-air celebration of Progressive and Psychedelic Trance, with several dancefloors spread across the spacious grounds alongside art and fire installations. The mountain setting near the Swiss National Park makes it a distinctive location within the psytrance scene.
Camping is included in the ticket price, with the campsite located directly on the festival site; a separate caravan area is available for motorhomes. Tickets for the 2027 edition are not yet on sale, and the line-up will be announced over the coming months. The festival is aimed at an international psytrance audience seeking a combination of music and mountain scenery.

Questions & answers
How do I get to the festival?
Shuttle buses run from Zernez to the festival site and back. Your ticket includes the first journey from Zernez railway station to the festival; after that, an unlimited weekend shuttle pass applies. The walk between the site and the station takes around 15 to 20 minutes.
Is parking available?
There is no shuttle bus from the car park. The walk from the parking area to the festival site takes around 20 minutes, so sturdy footwear is recommended.
How do I pay on site?
The festival operates a cashless wristband system. You can load cash onto your wristband, and drinks at the bar can only be paid for using the wristband. Any remaining credit will be refunded to your bank account.
What can I bring, and what is prohibited?
Drinks may only be brought in on first entry: up to six litres of beer or wine, or up to six litres of non-alcoholic drinks. Glass bottles and high-proof alcohol are prohibited. You may bring your own food, and free water refill stations are available.
What happens in bad weather?
Nights in Zernez can be very cold, at around 5 to 10 degrees Celsius, while sunny days can exceed 30 degrees. Warm clothing, a rain jacket and sun protection are therefore essential items to pack.
Are there pitches for motorhomes?
The motorhome car park sells a parking space for the vehicle only; there are no electricity or water connections. Water stations are available on the festival’s main site.
