About SYLVER
Sylver combine Belgian vocal trance with catchy pop melodies and the voice of Silvy De Bie. Alongside her, keyboardist and songwriter Wout Van Dessel shapes their sound, while Regi Penxten is involved as producer and co-writer.
Their story began in a nightclub where Van Dessel worked as a DJ and met De Bie. They first performed as Liquid feat. Silvy before the project became Sylver, as the name Liquid was already taken. Guitarist John Miles junior joined in 2009; after a break from 2013, the group returned to the stage in 2016.
Their breakthrough came with “Turn the Tide”, which reached number two in Germany, spent twelve weeks in the Top Ten and went gold. Their debut album “Chances” also enjoyed a long run there, spending 49 weeks in the Top 100. To mark their tenth anniversary, Sylver celebrated with a concert at Antwerp’s Lotto Arena; their anniversary album reached number one in the Belgian album charts in 2010.
Sylver bring synthesizers and drum machines together with guitar, piano and other acoustic instruments. Their live sound has taken them far beyond Belgium, including to North America, South Africa and Asia. Performances remained part of their story after the reunion too: for 2024, Sylver announced further live shows in Belgium and across Europe.
