REBELION

Rebelion are Raymond Baird and Gary O’Dea, a Scottish DJ-producer duo representing the harder side of hardstyle. Their sound combines raw energy with a determination not simply to do what everyone else is doing.

The pair started out producing music before later stepping behind the decks as DJs. Their name emerged after weeks spent in the studio together: Gary’s suggestion of “Rebellion” became the one-L spelling. They approached Gearbox Digital with their first track, “Extermination”, and released their debut album in 2016.

Those beginnings developed into a festival career featuring appearances at Hard Bass, Defqon.1, Reverze and Supremacy. In 2022, fans voted Rebelion “Best Artist” in the Hardstyle.com charts. Another milestone followed in 2023, when their own 6,000-capacity X-Qlusive event sold out in under 24 hours. Their label Acid Reign also gave them their own route for releasing new music, with “City Lights” reaching number one in several charts.

On stage, Rebelion focus on a packed atmosphere, considered track selection and precise DJing. Their live concept “Beyond The Horizon”, announced in 2025, brings together the melodic and harder sides of their sound and has already appeared on festival stages including Rebirth and Decibel Outdoor.
