RADICAL REDEMPTION

Behind Radical Redemption is Joey van Ingen, a Dutch DJ and producer who combines Hardstyle with the force of Rawstyle and Hardcore. Dark atmospheres, heavy kicks and a pronounced sense of rhythm give his music its unmistakable pressure.

Raised in Denekamp, van Ingen began playing drums at the age of ten and later performed in several bands. He then turned to the decks and began producing his own Hardstyle tracks around 2009. Crypsis supported him during this early period, and his debut album Annihilate was released on Minus is More in 2012. Alongside Crypsis, Chain Reaction and MC Nolz, he is also part of Minus Militia.

With The One Man Army, he honed his signature blend of hard kicks and military aesthetics in 2015; the album also came with its own event. His performances have taken him to Defqon.1 and Decibel Outdoor, among others, while Intents and Supremacy are especially closely associated with his dark sound. The ongoing Brutal series also became a trademark: he uses its sounds, voices and kicks as space for experimentation. After leaving his former label, he founded Redemption Records in 2023 and launched it with Brutal X.

Alongside high-energy DJ sets, he also explores other forms on stage. For his Orchestra of Eternity, he combines Hard Dance with an orchestra, effects and pyrotechnics. The force of his kicks meets sweeping melodies and melancholic moods without losing its rhythmic drive.
