Pegassi

Pegassi is the alter ego of Antwerp-based Belgian DJ and producer Sam Huybrecht. Moving between trance, techno, Eurodance and house, he creates a sound that gives melodies as much room as dancefloor energy.

Huybrecht began as DJ Epileptix, making his first appearance at a youth centre in Puurs. He later developed his own identity as Pegassi, also shaped by the hip-hop he grew up with.

He first drew attention on SoundCloud with a remix of „No Type“, which reached number one there. „Yoyoyo“ became his club breakthrough – a track whose distinctive bell sound emerged from an accidentally selected sound during production. „227kg“ continued that sound and reached millions of streams. Pegassi has also launched his own event series and label, Sweet Nothing, which released his debut EP „Ascension“.

He has already performed his genre-spanning sound live on stages at Awakenings and Tomorrowland, as well as at Boiler Room. In his sets, he pays close attention to the audience’s movement and body language, following the energy that develops between him and the crowd.
