OMAKS

OMAKS is a French DJ and producer who blends techno with reverse bass, acid and the force of harder electronic styles. For him, the focus is less on fixed genre boundaries than on the energy created between the DJ booth and the dancefloor.

The Paris-born artist discovered electronic music through illegal raves in 2018 and began DJing himself a year later. During the first lockdown, he uploaded his early mixes; his first performance followed in 2020, and he began producing his own music in 2021.

His music reached people beyond his DJ sets with “Back Street Bass”, which brought him attention within the techno scene. His first EP, “5AM”, was released on Neo Record in 2022 and brought together hard, fast and distorted sounds shaped by his sets at the time. The following year, he set himself the goal of releasing one track every month, giving his career further momentum. Performances ranging from Boiler Room in Lyon to Bogotá’s rave scene, along with work with collectives including Verknipt, Doom and Teletech, broadened his perspective on audiences.

With his own label, ENERGIC, and an all-night-long concept, he is now creating a platform for his ideas beyond individual tracks. His sets are intended as a journey of highs and lows: reverse bass, acid accents and catchy vocals give them a distinctive character, while he tailors their intensity to the respective dancefloor.
