NIELS VAN GOGH

Niels van Gogh is a DJ and producer from Augsburg, closely associated with the dance hit “Pulverturm”. Since the late 1990s, his music has taken him from club nights to international festival stages.

In 1998, he held a residency in the DJ booth at the Pleasure Dome in his hometown. That same year, “Pulverturm” was released on Kosmo Records and transformed his path overnight. He later became a resident DJ at Düsseldorf’s Poison Club and founded the project City Sneakerz with Eric Smax and Thomas Gold.

At the 1998 Love Parade, “Pulverturm” became an unofficial anthem before reaching the German pop charts. The track earned him gold in Belgium and an award at the German Dance Awards. “Doppelgänger” followed as another chart success, while in 2007 he and Eniac gave his biggest hit a new lease of life with “Pulverturm 2.0”. His remix of “Silence”, created with Thomas Gold, was also widely embraced by the club scene.

His sound sits between progressive club music and house, while releases right up to the present show that he continues to produce. At festival stages including Tomorrowland and Nature One, that ongoing work meets the experience of a DJ whose music has filled dancefloors since the 1990s.
