Masterboy

Masterboy are among the German Eurodance acts whose music shaped Nineties dancefloors. At the heart of the group are producers Enrico Zabler and Tommy Schleh, while Trixi Delgado’s voice helped define its best-known years.

Zabler and Schleh founded Masterboy in the late Eighties, initially with singer Mendy Lee and rapper David Atterberry on vocals. When Delgado joined as the new singer, Schleh also took on the rap parts, completing the line-up that found success across Europe. Linda Rocco and Annabell Kay later sang with Masterboy before Delgado returned to the group.

Early successes including „Everybody Needs Somebody“ were followed by a Europe-wide breakthrough in 1994 with „Feel the Heat of the Night“. The track gave Masterboy their only top 10 placing in Germany, while the group found a particularly large audience in France. The album „Different Dreams“ also formed part of this successful period and received a gold award in France.

After years of changing line-ups, Delgado, Schleh and Zabler performed together on stage for the first time since 1996 in November 2013. Since then, they have brought their Eurodance hits back to Nineties shows and festivals, with new music arriving in 2018 in the form of „Are You Ready“.
