Helena Lauwaert

Helena Lauwaert is a DJ from Ghent whose sound moves between driving house styles and tougher club sounds. Rather than committing to one style, she brings together Hard House, Speed House and Hardgroove in her sets.

She made a name for herself on the Ghent scene in 2022, playing primarily at Contrast and Charlatan. Alongside her DJ appearances, she helps organise HYENA’s PACK, a collective for young, emerging female DJs. With the collective, she also created a techno stage at Rampage.

Her path has taken her to Fuse and Kompass, as well as Extrema Outdoor and Paradise City. She has a particular connection to Club Vaag in Antwerp, one of her first venues outside Ghent, where she returned for a sold-out night in 2025.

Away from the decks, Lauwaert also shapes club culture. Through the Loose Legs event series, she combines her love of UK Garage, Speed House and Hard House with the desire to create a queer space for partying. Music and lighting matter to her, but so does creating a place where guests feel welcome and free to express themselves. On the decks, audiences can expect shifting rhythms ranging from Speed Garage to Hardgroove.
